The interview process is not only an opportunity for the company to get to know you, but also for you to get to know them and see if the environment/conditions you want can be provided.

Below are some basic questions that can be asked during an interview, based on my own interview and work experience (data scientist). These questions will help you better understand the organizational structure of the team you are considering working with, how projects are managed, and the team’s working principles. I will keep this updated with new questions as time goes by.

Here we go!

1.Is there one team or are there multiple teams working on different work teams?

Understanding the organizational structure helps you see which teams work on which areas of work and how these teams collaborate. Also, understanding how projects are coordinated across teams and which teams have which responsibilities allows you to evaluate the efficiency of your work processes.

2.How many people are there in your team, how long has this team been around?
